Made In Britain with pride:
All KPM products are proudly manufactured in its own facility under strict quality standards and specifications, this allows KPM to control the quality and delivery of the product. The only components not sourced in the UK are the bearings (Germany) and Electro-magnetic clutches (Japan). All other small components are supplied from the West Midlands.

KPM Pumps have been especially designed to with stand ingress of sand, grit and solids without damage to the pump. This KPM development has now allowed military and rescue operators to beach their craft without the concern of a potential pump failure. The same problem is also very common in the pleasure boat and commercial sectors. KPM run dry capability over extended periods without damage has allowed special forces and life boats to have the engine running before launch of the vessel either from ship, helicopter or transport plane. Either way the KPM pump has not only enhanced the safety of the crew drops but the operational capability of special forces or rescue services. KPM pumps have been tested by customers and agencies with the same feed back on the sea trial tests. Since the production of KPM pumps there have been no reports of failure or for that matter broken impellers. One customer in the Florida Keys reported 1500 hours of use and as many beach landings without damage to the pump. In the unlikely event of failure the KPM pump has been designed to be fixed easily. All KPM products have been designed to be kind to the environment and contain no volatile organic chemicals and all greases and oils are bio-degradable. The products are designed to be fully repairable and 95% recyclable at end of life. All KPM products are designed to have extended life cycles, without the need for frequent replacement, which aids the environment and your pocket.

KPM for the last 14 years have specialized in the design and manufacture of safety critical products for the marine and automotive markets on a global basis. All KPM products and designs have proven themselves time and time again in some of the most punishing applications imaginable .KPM pride ourselves for innovative and cost effective solutions and with over 100 years of combined marine experience your project is in safe hands.

Product Design
KPM engineers and designers never accept the norm and are always looking for new ways to meet the challenges of the modern marine market. KPM's primary design objective is to ensure that all KPM products are the most reliable on the market and require less maintenance . In the unlikely event of a failure the products are designed to be easily repaired with the minimum of tools in hostile environments.. Throughout the design process KPM ensure that production costs are kept to a minimum by using our wealth of Design for Manufacture (DFM) experience and CNC simulation software. Past and existing customers include Aston Martin, Lotus, TVR, Williams F1, Jordan F1, Skater, Victory, Ilmore Marine, Lyme Boats, Hepworth Marine, Pasco Int. and E.P. Barrus to name but a few.
Water System Design
KPM marine engineers have at their disposal the latest flow simulation software allowing the customer to determine the optimum and most efficient pumping system for their application. The detailed analysis of flows, pressures etc by the software allows the designer to determine where potential problems may occur before costly mistakes are made and delays to any shipbuilding project or sea trials. KPM supply this service with all systems supplied or can be employed on a consultant engineering basis.
CNC Machining, Fabrication, Polishing and Surface Coating
KPM marine's in house manufacturing includes the latest 4 axis CNC vertical machining centres (VMC) and Lathe Machining Centres which can produce 2D or 3D profiles to your specification and quality checked by our computerised Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). In addition KPM capabilities include power presses, sheet metal, wire and tube manipulation, welding, powder coating, plating, engraving and high quality metal polishing. KPM process and have in depth knowledge of a wide range of materials from stainless through to plastics. Due to KPM's advanced CAD/CAM software prototypes can be produced cost effectively and rapidly.
Reliability, DFM and Six Sigma Programmes
KPM for its own products undertake reliability, dfm and six sigma programmes. KPM engineers are available on a consultancy basis to undertake these programmes for your product or system.
